The Palace and Park complex dates back to the 19th century. It was designed by a leading architect of that period – Bolesław Paweł Podczaszyński at Józef count Hornowski’s request.
Originally it was a one storey building with the distyle portico, finished in 1830. Later on it was rebuilt. It was then that two one-storey risalits and the front portico supported by cast-iron columns were created.
Its neo-Gothic interior was typical for the 19th century architecture.
Łochów Palace was owned by several aristocratic Polish families such as Hornowscy, Dernałowiczowie, Zamoyscy and Kurnatowscy. Its development was connected with the formation of Paris – Petersburg railway line.
Zdzislaw count Zamoyski, Andrzej’s son (1842 – 1925), was the owner who was intensively developing the farm. In 1913 Elzbieta Zamoyska, Zdzislaw’s daughter, and her husband Eryk count Kurnatowski became landlords of the Palace. During the interwar period the estate was partially divided. The owners were breeders and connoisseurs of horses. They live in the memory as good hosts and the organizers of horse races.
After 1945 the estate became a state property. Farm workers were settled there and the community centre and post office were created as well. The building was totally devastated, the only remains consisted of pieces of the parquet, stucco, a part of the fireplace and the tiled stove in the Music Room.
Our conference and leisure centre Łochów Palace has accommodation for over 200 guests. Dining rooms, ballrooms and conference rooms may admit up to 500 visitors.
Łochów Palace is a private property. It was rebuilt and renovated by the property developer ARCHE S.A. between 2004 and 2008. This company has been in existence since 1991. Its success in the field of property developing allowed ARCHE to make dreams, such as restoration of historic monuments, come true. The company build mainly blocks of flats and hotels in Warsaw (a housing estate - Woronicza Park) and Łodź (lofts in buildings which remained after Łódzka Wytwórnia Papierosów).
